I just absolutely love Hunter Valley weddings. There is just something about the place that makes it super amazing for weddings. Is it the landscape? The climate (where it can rain at a moments notice, or be super bright and sunny!). Who knows! But when Mykel and Nathan asked me to shoot their Hunter Valley wedding at the gorgeous Yarramalong Valley, I jumped at the opportunity. I’m not sure if rain on your wedding day is ironic, unlucky, or whatever. This day, as wet as it was, was anything but miserable.
Almost as much as I love shooting Hunter Valley weddings, I love getting involved in non-traditional weddings as well. Mykel and Nathan are no traditional couple, so instead of having the traditional afternoon wedding, they opted for a morning ceremony followed by lunch and line dancing, which went late into the afternoon. It was such a fun day, and I’m so glad I was a part of it.
